In this position, I was an ongoing resource for reporting and support services across all departments.Key projects:• Development of HR Information System tools and reporting to encompass training, performance records, and staff reduction processes as determined through a collective bargaining agreement.• Worked with the Google Retailer Support Program Manager on the development of eBook help content, staff training, and pre-release testing of Google eBook retail offerings• Managed the development plan to successfully improve call center employee efficiency and overhaul general operations, using Erlang C calculations, performance management, customer and employee surveys, historical data, and volume forecasting• Brought forth the marriage of geospatial analysis and book sales/acquisitions by analyzing demographic data in line with historical data. From choropleths to spatial cluster analysis, new insights were provided for several initiatives.• Using millions of data points and ten discrete metrics, a full mapping of performance indicators was created for every linear foot in two retail locations.• Exploration and advocacy of little-known functionality in the company's ERP software provided automation to several of the company's more laborious and manual processes.• Analyzed and modeled financial and operational impacts of changes to order fulfillment practices, resulting in a recommendation and implementation of procedural changes that increased customer satisfaction with minimal impingement up or down-stream.• Developed an accessible workbook-based emulator for one of the custom ERP's most complex, automated, and hard-coded processes. In this position, I gained an incredible wealth of experience documenting, training, and assisting in the coordination around the release of custom ERP software. Active participation in the underpinnings of design requirement gathering, monitoring of in-process reviews, and aggressively performing regression testing all provided the groundwork for a holistic understanding of both the software's impact on the business and on those to be trained. From gap analysis and change management to instructional design and best practices, the end deliverable was a fully-trained workforce able to capitalize on a new system with minimal impact to business operations.8 unique module manuals were developed, an exhaustive context-sensitive online help system was integrated, process maps were constructed, 500 employees were trained, and a successful custom ERP solution was deployed. In addition, managed the coordination of annual inventory counts, ensuring consistent and accurate reporting for GAAP requirements through training, process development, and interdepartmental communication.

My proudest achievement in this position was developing a variable margin pricing algorithm for specialized, short discount inventory acquisitions and sales. The algorithm was modeled heavily on competitor pricing, price elasticity of demand, historical performance, and delivering the greatest depth and breadth of inventory to our customers. The project proved successful with an annual review showing greatly enhanced margins with a very low impact on overall sales.Acted as staff lead for used book acquisitions, distribution, and replenishment at the Powell's Industrial warehouse, with a focus on coordination, training, reporting, and mentoring.
