After taking a year off to travel and regroup following the passing of my father, I returned to Los Angeles with a renewed focus and a developing passion for work in the social benefit sphere. I landed at The Farm Project as a Farm Tech, working as the public face of the company managing hydroponic farms for our clients. At The Farm Project, I interface with clients to meet the specific farm-to-table produce needs of private clients, businesses, and universities while assisting in the data collection for our proprietary consumer facing software.

After moving to Los Angeles, I settled into a position managing the marketing for the popular Hollywood restaurant "The Hollywood Corner."At The Corner, I handled all the print and digital marketing for the restaurant.

After a few years in the music industry, I decided it was time to leverage my experience in marketing for something more than bare subsistence living. I spent the next few years working as a freelance marketer and brand ambassador, working on long term contracts with companies including HINT Water and Biena Snacks. As a brand ambassador and marketing lead, I booked and managed promotions at events and in stores - coordinating with event promotors, national brands, and retail stores while managing promotional materials, giveaways, and customer information collection.

During the summer of 2013 I worked as a phone banking officer for the Gay & Lesbian Associates & Defenders, a public advocacy 5013 involved in the US v. Windsor case against the DOMA.

Much to the chagrin of my parents - who were both educators - I dropped out of University at the tender age of 20 to tour in a band. I quickly realized that the music industry would be a tough nut to crack for a young punk rocker with no connections, and a couple years on the road taught me the value of grassroots promotional work in a very visceral way. In 2009 I took what I'd learned and launched a small record label under which I signed, developed, and promoted - employing 'brand ambassadors' before that became a popular strategy - other young bands that sold 3-8k records each with no distribution and played on national tours and festivals including the Vans Warped Tour.
