Crafty’s business thrives in a highly promotion-driven climate, which demands discounts and new coupons that must be carefully managed to ensure smooth customer experiences, effective insulation from risk to the business, and minimized customer service volume, all while achieving our very aggressive revenue and customer acquisition goals.As Craftsy re-engineered its website in 2016, I developed our approach to coupons as a new tool for discounts and promotions, helping to scope the technical infrastructure for presenting product prices, discounts, and coupons to customers. At the same time, Craftsy began to use coupons as a promotional tool for the first time. I led the development of our approach to coupons as a marketing tool, merging this new practice with the company’s existing approaches to on-site discounts and channel-specific offers.
