A wide-eyed high school student fascinated by the tales of an accomplished television producer -- that's when I knew that visual storytelling was my path. Starting with making weekly school news segments on a Sony VX2000, I learned everything I could. I took any video/digital media/photography classes I could throughout high school and community college. While attending college, I earned an internship with the very same producer that had piqued my interest years before. Before I knew it, I was hired full-time to work on compelling television programming and getting a crash course on white label B2B marketing.Loaded with a breadth of new skills, I went on to transfer to UC Santa Cruz. I studied film and television with a critical eye. It opened a new world for me -- giving me perspective on the mutual influence between media and the context in which it was produced. I had the chance to work with fellow creatives; anything from beautiful narrative films to gritty social documentaries. I studied web media and learned how to build websites using HTML and CSS.Working freelance, I've worked on a variety of projects. I started out editing non-fiction television; taking countless hours of real-life and making a dense hour of entertainment from it. I had to find the story in the mountain of footage. From there I broadened my services into every aspect of video production: camera operator, cinematographer, motion graphics, color correction, audio correction. Working for clients ranging from Post-Production houses to Startup Websites. The common theme has always been finding the story and putting it out front.I found my passion in digital marketing. A brave new world of KPIs and performance metrics. A world of iterating and A/B testing. Campaign optimization and audience targetting. I've always been technically-minded, so being able to gauge the effectiveness of ad creatives with such granularity was simply awesome to me.
