It all started in 2019 when I moved to New Mexico...I was by myself, no friends nor family. I was lonely. I had just started taking some college classes as a computer science major and a few guys invited me to hangout and long board with them, so I said, "Sure."We longboard for a few hours, then suddenly we were at a public park chilling, taking a break. One of the guys said, "Hey Spencer, want to do some drugs?"I said "No thanks," contemplating my decisions. "I've actually gotta go." and I regretted my choices with hanging out with these guys instantly. I started to think how I got to that moment. I instantly googled, "how to become a better person," as I rode away. I added 6 books to my cart and ordered them all.Fast forward 3 months and it's December, I've spent nearly all my time in class either coding or reading self-help books. I figure out my goals and step foot into creating the guidelines for the best version of me. I began walking, switched career paths, and stopped playing video games. I grew 10-fold over Winter break. I started January with taking Pharmacy classes thinking I should do some good for the world and realized how lonely I had gotten, then Covid began. As classes progressed, more have them had turned into online zoom meetings and discord calls. I hated all of it. I dropped out, knowing full well that I wouldn't learn anything and that I'd cheat at every opportunity just for the good GPA.So, I was back at square one with no friends, no family, no college. I didn't know what to do with myself. I picked up a few more books to read during my down time, ie., Hey Whipple, Squeeze This (ad book) and some other copy writing books. I began to learn and devour knowledge. I tore into every marketing book, good or bad, and used it to implement where I am today. I also booked up courses and certifications on how to code, design, and do SEO. I further refined my HTML, CSS, & JScript to build the best possible designs.My old friends from high school eventually hung out with me after I moved back to Kansas. They all looked at me like I was crazy. They knew I was not the same person. They asked what I did in my free time, I told them I read, took notes, meditated & reflected. They asked how? So, I showed them. They looked at me in awe, one of them said, "You're on fire, dude. You've got this heat that will light up at all times and anyone close to you will feel it and be empowered." From that moment on, I've been channeling my skills to create my now agency, "Lawn Logic." It helps Lawn Care companies grow.
