Spencer Pruss is a Senior Team Lead at Bland & Associates, P.C. (Bland), serving in the Government Consulting Group (Group), where he oversees daily project management for contracts with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). He served as the Project Director for the Comprehensive End-Stage Renal Disease Care (CEC) Model contract as well as the Project Manager for the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) contract. Mr. Pruss currently serves as a Manager for Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) Plan audits. For the past 7 years, Mr. Pruss has worked on and overseen consulting and attestation contracts exclusively for CMS and CMMI. He is responsible for knowing and understanding any factors that impact compliance with CMS programs and plans as well as how CMS communicates with providers, payers, and the public. As an auditor for more than 10 years, Mr. Pruss is proud to apply his experience at Bland to enhance CMS’ efforts in monitoring health care entities for proper use of Medicare trust fund dollars.
