Working with Paul Hawken to write his upcoming book Regeneration. The book will be an extensive menu of doable, science-based actions that will outline a pathway to reduce our individual and societal footprints to meet the 2030 and 2040 goals outlined by the IPCC's 2018 Special Report. The unique focus of this book will be on humanity's capacity to move beyond efficiency and become a positive, regenerative force capable of stemming the climate crisis in one generation.

Project lead of synNotch at Kite Pharma Emeryville. Leading developments on our multi-antigen sensing protein platform that allows modified human immune cells to more effectively and more safely recognize, respond to, and kill cancerous cells.

Project lead of our synNotch technology in the Tech Dev group. We were acquired by Kite Pharma in Dec. of 2017.

Graduate student researcher in the Hasty Lab, focusing on creating synthetic biology circuits for use in microfluidic devices, and novel functions using directed evolution of E. coli.

Genetically engineering E. Coli to create an easily adaptable platform for the creation of biosensors for a wide array of applications from environmental contamination detection to rapid-diagnostic infection tests.

Created a data analysis program in MATLAB that computed DRG neuron responses recorded from a multi-electrode array chip. The program organized and analyzed the activity from each electrode in response to UV light. The program was wrapped in a GUI that is easy to use and modify for specific experiments. Paper under review in Nature Methods.

Summer 2009 & Summer 2010Programming 3D Automated Tracking programs in Matlab and Imaris, helping on projects concerning atherosclerosis and the problems with cell recruitment and reproduction induced from plaque related inflammation. Paper under review in Journal of Clinical Investigation.
