About Spencer Stowell
I've spent a total of three academic years involved in STEM intercollegiate competitions, including the University Rover Challenge (URC) and the Spaceport America Cup and SDL Payload Challenge. As Lead for the BYU Mars Rover team, my team received 3rd place out of 38 international finalists (100+ entries). As a payload engineer for BYU Rocketry, my design received 1st place out of 150+ international teams in the SDL Payload Challenge, and our rocket was awarded 2nd in our division (10K COTS).Through these experiences, I've learned it is critical to set project deadlines throughout the development process, and the best way to accomplish those deadlines is to work smarter, not harder. Time has always been the scarcest resource in any of my projects.
