I worked in the constituency office of Dan Vandal, MP for the riding of Saint-Boniface - Saint-Vital, where my main responsibility was to oversee the casework - I met with constituents to help them with issues concerning federal departments (from immigration issues to complex tax concerns), often requiring me to liaise with those departments and/or the cabinet ministers thereof. Highlights from my experience include:- 219 cases closed in approx. 13 mo- Sourced, selected, and facilitated round tables for 2016-17 Constituency Youth Council- Co-hosted budgetary and national defence town hall meetings with the MemberI also attended meetings and community events with and prepared briefing documents for MP Vandal, who is chair of the Liberal Indigenous Caucus and of the Manitoba (Federal) Liberal Caucus, and who sits on the committees for Official Languages and Canadian Heritage (as of 2017).

I spent two months on Parliament Hill receiving training in various areas from social media marketing to stakeholder relations to policy development. I then joined the constituency office in the Winnipeg riding to further diversify my experience with the Government of Canada. My duties included:- Preparing briefs for the MP based on government legislation and personal research on topics ranging from union negotiations within Crown corporations to the changing landscape of the country's transportation network- Engaging directly with constituents and drafting voter-facing communications- Attending committee meetings and providing assistance to the MP where required- Scheduling meetings and other engagements on behalf of the MP- Completing Gender Based Analysis+ training on behalf of the office

The CCSL was held in Winnipeg from November 19-21, 2015. I was in charge of leading the CCSL Planning Committee and overseeing all aspects of the conference. I personally focused on the External Affairs portfolio, in charge of sponsorship and social media. Results below.Facebook marketing campaign:35,803 reaches with pre-conference-day posts in 49 posts from August 26th to November 18th, average of 731 reached/post - 9,676 reaches were paid, therefore ~73% of all reaches were organic - 1,737 post clicks - avg. of 35 clicks per post - 539 likes, comments, and shares - avg. 11 per post100+ delegates attended the conference. 1,559 page 'likes' by last count (Nov. 2015).Sponsorship:$5000.00 secured (against ~90k budget)
