Varlan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. I also recently graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law and was named the Outstanding Graduate of the Class of 2017. As a law student, I served as Executive Editor of the Tennessee Law Review, a two-time competitor on the National Moot Court Team, Vice-Chair of the Moot Court Executive Board, and an an elected leader of multiple other organizations. After my current clerkship, I will clerk with Judge Carolyn D. King of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Houston, Texas, before joining the Nashville office of Bass, Berry & Sims PLC.I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee, but have lived in Knoxville for the past nine years. I consider myself to be a motivated, hard-working individual with strong critical reasoning skills. Please feel free to send me a personal message with any questions or comments.
