Sperry originated and, since 1990, has been Executive Director of the Human Connection Project, a scientific and educational research project designed to reinforce the underlying sense that human beings are innately psychologically and physiologically linked, even when in widely separate geographic locations. This project has employed a series of six preliminary pilot studies in preparation for an international multiple laboratory experiment. The purpose of the project is to offer an alternative to the current scientific worldview in which humans are considered physically isolated beings. Sperry has given invited presentations on human interconnectedness and the Human Connection Project at the United Nations, World Business Academy, Duke University, University of Connecticut, and the Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach. His articles have appeared in Frontier Perspectives, Alternative Therapies, and Exceptional Human Experience. He is coauthoring a book titled, The Ecstasy of Unity. Before beginning the Human Connection Project with the help of the Mind Science Foundation in San Antonio, Texas in 1988 and becoming an Adjunct Research Associate from 1990 to 1992, he facilitated group experiences both public and private, enhancing people’s ability to become more identified with shared sensory, emotional, and mental awareness. He then continued to develop techniques to help groups achieve and maintain states of collective consciousness which hundreds of people in the U.S. and Europe have now experienced. His interest in consciousness-for-its-own-sake began with a childhood near death experience. Knowing that everyone and everything are connected led him into contemplative and meditative visioning, including healing and teaching work. He was formally educated at Antioch College, Maryland Art Institute, New School for Social Research, State University of New York, and City College, San Francisco.

This includes leading hundreds of groups to heightened levels of compassionate, insightful intelligence. What these groups have experienced is readily available to anyone interested. Higher 'states', and advanced 'stages' of consciousness are only a matter of awareness becoming more aware of itself. Experiential conversations can be scheduled and recorded online via webcam.Individual and collective attention has historically been organized exclusively by ideas and activities. When our awareness is overly identified with these fragments of a greater whole, a mind-made personality inevitably tries to take control of these pieces of experience to create a "peace" that is missing. Yet this trying is futile and goes on endlessly. When fractured in this way, the mind promises to make life behave the way it imagines it should. When filled only with the knowledge of these thoughts and things, our minds cannot begin to know the underlying integrity of awareness itself. In these experiential group conversations, one has a true taste of this alternative way of being.By sustaining one-pointed attention and taking turns speaking, expressing our experience of being consciousness together, we each find our own sense of awareness. As awareness becomes aware of itself as the assemblage point of every single perception, we awaken into a "knowing presence" that's not divided by who we think we are or what we think we're doing. We're freed from insecurities which can only be suffered by a body whose mind perceives a false sense of separateness.Thoughts no longer prevail. People find they are incapable of negative thinking. This quality of consciousness is our greatest (largely untapped) innate resource. It's unmistakable, we have the capacity to effortlessly share this commonsense of an all-loving intelligence, in our everyday lives.

For over thirty years, I have explored two-way telepathic awareness with hundreds of groups and thousands of individuals. With a background in physics, neuroscience, (para)psychology, philosophy, art and art history, healing, mysticism, and filmmaking, I adore learning with you. As founder of the Human Connection Institute, I orchestrate a large-scale, spiritually-inspired, multinational, scientifically-based, media project, designed to facilitate humanity's imminent leap into collective enlightenment.

I developed conversational styles that are readily learned and lived in everyday life, helping any interested individual or group to achieve and sustain a shared sense of consciousness - which hundreds of people in the U.S. and Europe have now experienced.

Is humanity suffering a dissociative identity disorder - as research suggests? Have we adapted to receiving love and abuse at unpredictable times by suppressing and denying an interconnecting awareness process - within us individually and among us socially?As incomparably unique beings "caused" by a process we often refer to as self/Self-aware consciousness, we evidently have another choice: to notice what we can all notice together.In David Bohm's model, titled "Soma-Significance", observation pivotally coordinates a spatio-temporal, energetic and material mind/body structure, that´s self-organizing and transformative - in space over time - "causing" the incremental refinement, and therefore evolution, of form-based perception to be modeled using classical and quantum formalism, and tested experimentally.For example: The center of all mass is empty of form in a gravitational system, and the spaceless/timeless reference frame of the speed of light is considered dimensionless. I submit, the primordial void-based absence of space and time is passively acting as a perceptual "catalyst" for the evolution of higher dimensional phenomena, creating a stable phase-transition between formlessness and form.Any one of us - alone or in groups - as well as humanity as a whole, can explore how forms arise and are observed, consciously recognizing "this transition" as a singular witnessing consciousness. In this view, as "creators", we are each, and all, accelerating the quantum vacuum, localizing the non-local whole, as one of an infinite number axes of inertia for our internal "youniverse" and external cosmos. We are re-creating our "selves", "each other" and "all that is", in whole and in part, via the passive/activity of witnessing co-consciously or unconsciously. By choosing to utilize our freely focused attention and intention, to benefit "all that is", we extend our ability to advance civilization by allowing the love of our unity to happen personally and socially.
