I am an experienced project director, geospatial and knowledge management specialist, with over 23 years of consulting experience in Canada and Southern and, to a lesser extent, North, Central and West Africa.I have experience working in diverse project teams across borders, time zones and disciplines, cooperating to implement work programmes effectively, delivering results and client satisfaction. My experience includes engagements in the private sector and with international development sector clients in climate-smart agriculture, climate change and resilience, disaster management, forestry, environmental management, and tourism, as well as public relations and communications sectors.My specialised skills and experience: project planning, management and delivery, knowledge management, technical writing, stakeholder engagement and facilitation, ICT for Development, information design and architecture, GIS, remote sensing and cartography.I hold a BSc (Honours) in Environmental Science from the University of Stirling in Scotland, and an MSc. (cum laude) in GIS: Environmental Geography from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. I have operational project experience working in sub-arctic, temperate, tropical, subtropical, and semi-arid environments and a variety of institutional and commercial settings for the private sector, transboundary and government clients.
