Perry is Vice Chair and the former longstanding managing partner of the Calgary office of Bennett Jones. He is a senior corporate lawyer with extensive national and cross-border experience and has acted for clients in some of the largest financing and merger transactions in Canada.

He has been recognized by Financial Post Magazine as one of the 25 most influential people in corporate Canada. Perry has also been recognized by Chambers Global, the Legal Media Group, Best Lawyers in Canada, PLC Which Lawyer, the IFLR 1000 and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a leading lawyer in his areas of expertise.

Perry is a director of a large private holding company, a member of the Advisory Board of the Samara Centre for Democracy, a non profit organization dedicated to strengthening Canada's democracy, and a director of the Calgary Zoological Society. He is also the longstanding Chair of the Bennett Jones Lake Louise World Cup Business Forum.

He is a recent Chair of WinSport, which manages the legacy assets and programs of the Calgary Winter Olympics and a past director of Alpine Canada, the governing body for alpine ski racing in Canada. He is a past member of the Alberta Securities Commission Advisory Committee and a past Co-Chair of the Pipestone Securities Law Conference.

Perry is a frequent speaker and chairs national and international conferences on a variety of topics. He speaks French and German.

A former international ski racer, Perry remains active in skiing.
