AS EDUCATOR:Developed and led a brand new STEM curriculum, serving over 200 students each year. Through data driven results and the creation of effective quarterly assessments, this led to the development of a second, advanced STEM curriculum. Managed the learning and growth of diverse student populations to create an inclusive and equitable classroom environment. This included strategic designing of differentiated lesson plans, implementing 4 new technology platforms and hands-on project-based-learning (during and after the COVID pandemic), and facilitating strong relationships with other stakeholders. Organized and trained the school’s first VEX IQ Robotics teams. Managed the work (building, driving, coding, interviewing) of three teams (15 students), all of which qualified for the Hawaii Regional Championships, and one of which made it to CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championships. Problem-solved for club resources by researching and acquiring grant funding of over $10,000 for club creation and accessibility of travel for students.AS PROGRAM COORDINATOR:Recruited and coordinated schedules of 25 faculty advisors engaged in over 15 after school clubs and sports for a student body of 500. Developed and led training sessions on the new technological platform used for after school data collection. Designed and marketed the publicity of after school activities on campus.Wrote and successfully secured grant applications from two organizations (UPLINK and REACH) providing $300,000 of funding for after-school programming from 2022-2024. Supervised the program budget by deciding allocations, organizing purchase orders, keeping staff payroll, and leading program` check-ins to ensure budget projections were accurate. Coordinated and communicated directly with vendors, school administration, and grant providers to ensure program scheduling, grant requirements, partnerships, and student participation ran smoothly and effectively during the entire year.
