Growing up, while everyone else was excited for their 21st birthday, I could not wait for my 18th. I would be able to vote AND have the privilege of joining the jury pool? Such sacred duties have always felt like such honors to me.To me, it is a duty and honor to both vote and serve on a jury because they are ways of not only participating in government but serving my neighbors. Ultimately, that is the same reason why I desire to continue my career in local government. I love having the opportunity to utilize my skills in data analytics, research, and even marketing and communication to serve my community.
