- Researched on the compression techniques that could be used for complex algorithms to be deployed on several embedded computing systems.- Performed a comparison of different compression techniques used such as Run-Length encoding, Lempel–Ziv–Welch (LZW) and Huffman encoding.
- Involved in design, development and debugging activities on Samsung smartphones and tablets.- Possess expertise in ARM Architecture.- Involved in development and porting of features on Android platform, Linux kernel and bootloader.- Possess development and debugging expertise in Linux Device Tree framework and Device drivers.- Recipient of the 'Knight' and 'Spot' Awards.
- Worked on Camera peripheral driver integration across various Samsung devices.- Involved in debugging of issues pertaining to several aspects of the camera module before deployment.- Device driver development for the sensor modules.- Part of the team presented with the ‘Trouble-shooter’ award for efficient performance and time effective migration of Android releases.
- Design and feature-implementation of the camera module using a proprietary framework on multi-core SoC for Samsung’s Flagship smart-phone model.- Developed the camera sensor driver for a proprietary framework running on a RTOS on a dual-core subsystem.- Customized the framework in major ways to adapt it to the Samsung hardware platform.- Added support for features like focus, white-balance, brightness-control, sensor-tuning.- Analyzed critical issues discovered during factory-line testing. Working under a strict deadline, resolved issues in time for the scheduled product release.
- Added support for Accelerometer/Gyroscope sensor-ICs on mobile phone enabling the device to respond to user-input in the form of physical gestures like shakes and swipes.- Implemented Sensor-HAL on Android that provided the end-user applications with calibrated motion sensor data. The HAL provided accurate data and minimized power-consumption by configuring the operation of the gyrosensor hardware appropriately.- Ported device specific customizations from earlier versions of android to the current one.- Added support in the Linux-kernel to enable proper functioning of peripheral gyroscope-IC. The driver performed basic initialization and calibration of the gyroscope.
