TBH is a 501(c)3 non-profit agency working with at-risk children and their families from four clinical locations across Arizona. Reporting to the CEO, I have responsibility for all aspects of IT operations, and for converting strategic direction into technical solutions. I’ve established a client hardware retention program, standardized client platforms, built relationships with a major hardware manufacturers and VARs, and developed a plan for obsolete equipment disposal that generates additional funding for an internal program while remaining environmentally responsible. I researched solutions, evaluated ROI, and served as Project liaison for the deployment of our hosted Electronic Medical Records system. I lead our team in participation of beta implementations for nationally-recognized hardware and software vendors. Our case study, “Secure EMR for Remote Providers”, received Laureate status from the Computerworld Honors program. Our new campus utilizes best-of-breed networking and communications technologies, and serves as a model for modern social service agencies, leading to my recognition by Computerworld as a “Premier 100 IT Leader”.

GolfGM was an online B2B servicing the green-grass golf industry, providing everything necessary to run a facility from a single multi-vendor shopping cart. As the first technical hire I held hands-on responsibility for all aspects of IT, including both online operations and the internal infrastructure. Daily duties included acquisition, configuration and deployment of the requisite hardware and software for development, staging and production server systems, as well as for all internal LAN/WLAN networking requirements. I served as Project Manager for continuing site development and outsourced hosting solutions, as well as documented functional requirements for the next site iteration. Reporting directly to the CEO, I also built business cases for utilizing existing and emerging technologies, and had significant input into the budgeting process.

Greater New York City Area

One of six companies acquired to form Law.com, MA3000 provides calendar data to over 90% of the top firms litigating in the New York courts. I was responsible for all daily operations of this division billing over $4 Million annually, and reported jointly to the COO and CTO. During my tenure we successfully addressed issues surrounding an evolving marketplace, significantly improved customer service response times and customer satisfaction, and mitigated the impact of losing our communications provider following 9/11. The net result was not only maintaining 97% of our existing client base, but also creating a 20% increase in our revenue stream.

San Francisco Bay Area

Law.com grew through the acquisition of six separate companies, each involved in an aspect of servicing the legal community with information, software solutions, or ecommerce. My primary duties included producing appropriate commerce functionality for specific product promotions, while I also worked as Team Lead in the effort to integrate 6 separate web sites (Unix and Windows based) into a cohesive unit as we moved to a centralized site management. Additionally, we were actively moving all development and hosting in-house, so it was necessary to coordinate across multiple internal and external development teams to optimize a single solution. When the company decided that it wasn’t economically feasible to warehouse and distribute law books and legal texts, I was assigned a Siebel CRM implantation study prior to being assigned to my position in New York.

As a member of the original start-up team, I was actively involved in all technical aspects of creating this Gift Services Engine during the decline of the ‘dot-com’ era. Gifted Solutions integrated a number of innovative functions into an early web application that would provide reminders of upcoming personal and business occasions, as well as gender/relationship/price specific gift recommendations from a multi-vendor catalog, via personalized email.

To supplement their seat-back catalog on almost every flight in the US, SkyMall was one of the first brick-and-mortar organizations to develop an ecommerce site. In addition to providing image and web support for the quarterly catalog, I also produced the content for their innovative electronic catalog delivered via hotel/motel TV systems.
