Direct daily operations at two branches, including supervising a 28-person team with seven direct reports, training, and scheduling staff, providing information and services, and modeling customer service. Serve as a liaison between the library-system and the branch communities by reaching out to area organizations and promoting the library and its services.Special projects: Led a team of 24 librarians to create NIH-approved 3D-printed face masks and shields for essential workers during COVID-19 pandemic. Collectively printed and distributed 2,000 items to local hospitals, nursing facilities and shelters.  Member of the library’s Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee under the California Libraries Cultivating Racial Equity and Inclusion Initiative. Our work includes reversing institutional practices that are racially inequitable and to support staff with ongoing training and development.

Supporting researchers within the Montefiore/Einstein Team in community engagement efforts on two projects, including the HEALing Communities Study (HCS) NY, a research study aimed to reduce opioid and overdose deaths across New York State by 40% in three years and Bridging Research, Accurate Information and Dialogue (BRAID) to address vaccine hesitancy in the Bronx borough.

Increased the library’s community engagement and outreach to new and underserved audiences and build strategic partnerships to create programs that better serve library patrons. Also managed social media strategies and assisted marketing communications across the library system.Special projects: Spear-headed and managed pilot project to incorporate case management services into the library in collaboration with Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative, including securing $187K in funding, establishing partnerships, training staff, compiling data and assessing project sustainability. This video highlights the program and partnerships.  Secured technology grant to purchase virtual reality sets and curriculum for Yonkers public schools educators to “check out” for extended project use. Worked closely with the technology manager to pilot the program in two classrooms before launching across the district. Partnership including onboarding teachers to technology and lesson plans, offering onsite classroom support, and providing ongoing training to educators. Developed a partnership between a local historical site, an urban farming group and the library where we maintain 18 garden beds that were previously empty. Library staff developed two gardening clubs (kids and adults/teens) to promote healthy eating with a focus on historical and indigenous food.  Worked to establish a smoking cessation program for library patrons based on patient-reported outcomes collected through a partnership with Albert Einstein School of Medicine, Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative, the American Lung Association, Westchester County and NYS SmokeFree. Establish and co-led biannual 15-week Girls Who Code club.

Oversaw all activities of the Adult Services department relating to programming, collection management, budgeting, and reference and reader's advisory services, including managing a 7-person team and working with community groups and local businesses to promote and coordinate library services and build partnershipsSpecial projects:  Managed the Studio, a makerspace that focuses on art creation using digital fabrication equipment (3D printers, laser cutter, embroidery machines, etc.), including staffing, training, programming, and teaching.  Planned, implemented, and evaluated innovative and diverse programs for adults in collaboration with other departments, specifically youth services and our branch location. Programming increased by 400% in a two-year period.

Oversaw administrative services, human resources, and marketing of a 60-person libraryManaged and led a 3-person department. Assisted the Library Director with preparation of state report, board report and library budget and coordinated timesheet reporting and payroll with the city. Special projects: Directed eight special events programs including vendor contracts, budgeting, marketing, and logistics.  Chaired internal marketing committee, including developing marketing strategies that promote unique services offered at BPL.

Managed a team of 16 staff members, including 11 part-time employees. Directed all circulation department activities, including staff hiring, training, creating and implementing library policies and procedures, and ensuring patron satisfaction. Implemented a program that defines and fulfills activities that focus on satisfying the needs of library patrons when using the services and facilities of the library.

Managed fundraising and administrative services departments of a growing regional non-profit housing development organization. Supervised a staff of 2 in addition to all consultants related to fundraising and grant writing projects. Developed and implemented a comprehensive fundraising strategy that maximizes revenue from private and public sources, individual donors, and special events.
