As a Machine Learning Research Intern, I acquired the fundamentals of Natural Language Processing (NLP) while working on a project that included translating lip movement to speech. My duties included enhancing the dataset by creating a series of English video samples that I then used to fine-tune transcription accuracy. I described the transcribing issues and suggested ways to enhance model performance. I also revamped the frontend interface with HTML, CSS, and Flask to make it more usable and provide a better user experience. This position helped me to enhance my expertise of machine learning research and user-centred design in web development.
