As a consultant I have worked with Ottaway Strategic Management Limited to support and lead on a range of comprehensive projects commissioned by local authority and NHS England commissioners. This has included health needs assessments across various health areas, equality impact assessments, service reviews, service redesign and supported re-procurement processes. I have undertaken stakeholder and service user engagement research to help inform service delivery and have developed performance management frameworks to improve services.

I was responsible for the programme and performance management of public health contracts (substance misuse and sexual health). I produced a range of public health needs assessments and data analysis that informed evidence based commissioning including drugs, alcohol and sexual health. I led on the implementation of robust performance management frameworks that were outcome focused that responded to and were aligned with key governmental strategies and agendas. I supported the production of Joint Strategic Needs Assessments through analysis and interrogation of data to interpret and resolve highly complex statistical and epidemiological problems and translates findings into appropriate recommendations for action, which support the commissioning and delivery of healthcare and public health.

I was responsible for the programme and performance management of the wider clinical and non-clinical drug and alcohol commissioned services for the London Borough of Brent. I developed comprehensive performance monitoring systems across of statutory and non-statutory commissioned organisations. I undertook regular contract review meetings with commissioned services and supported the re-procurement processes.

I was responsible for the implementation the Drugs Interventions Programme for the London Borough of Brent, this involved commissioning, maintaining and monitoring a range of clinical and non-clinical treatment pathways for people involved in substance misuse throughout the criminal justice system, from police custody to court, prison and community.

As the first Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Coordinator for the London Borough of Brent, I had the lead responsibility for devising the borough’s ASB Strategy and leading, supporting and managing the process of collaborative working between local authority, criminal justice and voluntary sector organisations to respond to the then, new powers of applying to the Courts for community based ASB Orders to protect the public from people who persistently act in an anti-social way.
