My name is Michael Spurlin and I consider myself to be a person who strives towards excellence. I spent the first four years of my professional career serving as a United States Marine. During my time with the Marines I completed two deployments to Afghanistan. My responsibilities required me to lead a team of Marines to ensure that operational goals were achieved. I graduated from Drexel University in June of 2016 with a cumulative GPA of 3.7. I dual majored in Business Analytics and Operations Management which equipped me with the skills necessary to perform as a data scientist. My professional interest include financial/investment management, international relations, and technology leadership.I was hired by PFM Asset Management, LLC after graduating from Drexel University. I completed an intensive two month analyst training program before I was assigned to a market research team. Some of my duties as an analyst included creating financial reports, developing automated dash boards, and maintaining client relationships.
