As Plasma Instrumentation and Control Engineer for UKAEA, my contribution is focused on developing cybernetic systems for fusion plasmas, integrating a diverse set of potential sensors and intelligent complex system controllers, exploiting mathematical and data-driven models, artficial intelligence and sensor fusion. Furthermore, I'm interested in developing solutions that diffuse the above know-how to other reserach areas and industries, including robotics, agriculture and renewable energy, in order to maximise the scientific and economic impact of fusion research.
