My role is focused on championing a new integration strategy using cloud technologies. It is focused on using purposeful tooling to take delimited and EDI (835/837) data and bring it to Snowflake DB. Currently my team is using Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Functions in conjunction with SnowSQL to provide a flexible and fast data loading process. The dimensional model the data is loaded into preps it for use in Power BI. Additionally, we leverage CosmosDB to allow application style functionality and have built processes to synchronize data between Snowflake and Cosmos.To ease the transition to cloud I have also collaborated on components used to our Cloud Infrastructure and IT teams. We have worked tightly with those teams to deliver our first iteration in a way that is deployed using a modern CI/CD and IaC approach.

In the manager role at Crowe my primary focus was leading technical efforts to create the Crowe Exceptions Resolution solution. This solution used multiple facets the SQL Server stack to provide value. EDI (835/837) and Patient Accounting data was loaded and transformed into SQL Server using Integration Services. Integration Services also was used to send the data to both an application or an analytical structure. Both structures were created and supported through my team's efforts. Finally, we helped in the process of cleansing and prepping data for advanced analytics.In addition to the architecture portions of the role I also served as a career coach and was involved in learning from both a participant and leader perspective. I was involved in internal and client-facing technical presentations. I attended PASS and Microsoft Ignite and helped bring fresh ideas back to the team.

During my time at First Merchants I spent time in the operations, customer-facing, and technology portions of the business. I started in IT in 2006 with Helpdesk work. A year later I was working on the Application Support team and troubleshooting issues for several vendor software solutions that had both Oracle and SQL Server back-ends.The experience in Application Support piqued my interest in SQL and when the Business Intelligence department was formed I was luckily chosen to be a part of it. The large scale project I worked on was consolidating data from Oracle, FoxPro, IBM AS/400, and other SQL Server databases into a Data Warehouse that was used to house information about loans. The ETL was done through SQL Server Integration Services, several reports were created in SQL Server Reporting Services to assess credit risk data, and eventually a cube was developed in SQL Server Analysis Services. Finally, during my time as a developer and architect at First Merchants I was also given the responsibility of monitoring databases and detecting performance issues. I created a tool using SQL Server's Dynamic Management Views and Reporting Services which was used for monitoring custom metrics about the in-house databases
