Responsible for opening, closing, end of day deposits, period end and assigning tasks to staff throughout their shift. My objective is to operate and maintain a clear, clean and well stocked store, with working Self check outs, available cashier presence and a friendly smile!

TRAFFIC OFFICER I & II -For 22 years, oversaw the parking operations. Enforced parking in 10 municipal parking lots, 350 metered parking spaces, authorized private properties and infractions on town streets. Removal of parking meters in Spring 2021 for Pay by Plate machines. Removal of coin boxes monthly and fixing minor problems with the machines. Emptied parking meter revenue and bagging coins for pick up, until such time the Town bought a coin sorter, then emptied cans and boxes of coin for sorting, rolling and deposit at bank for revenue purposes. This also included picking up and rolling transit coins. Kept detailed notes, inventory of parts and maintenance items and had a working repertoire with our meter supplier and public works crew for all meter maintenance. Prepared monthly reports for both meter revenue and maintenance and month end auditing and collection of coin revenue. MUNICIPAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER – For 16 years, performed proactive and reactive Municipal Law Enforcement Officer duties. Dealt with the public and informed them of the Town of Midland by-laws. Issued property notices for compliance and undertook clean ups when necessary. Worked with tenants, property owners, property management companies, other Town departments, and Ontario Provincial Police to achieve and maintain compliance and keep the peace during property clean-ups when needed. CERTIFIED PROPERTY STANDARDS OFFICER – For 14 years, performed many property standards inspections. Received my designation in 2019. Issued both standard and Emergency Orders. I even dealt with one Property Standard Committee Appeal during my career.ADMINISTRATION DUTIES: Kept a detailed daily notebook, answered emails, phone calls and E-Service requests in a timely manner. Filed documents, taxi driver and refreshment vehicle licensing, issued parking permits, and notices and convictions for unpaid parking tickets, court processes, trial and property standard appeals
