Squire Servance is the Founder and Managing Partner of Syridex Bio, an impact-driven, life sciences-focused investment firm geared toward investing in and developing therapies that accelerate global health equity. As Managing Partner, he oversees the firm’s operations, growth strategy, investments decisions, and fundraising execution.Squire’s education in cell biology and biomedical engineering, combined with his experiences as a Senior VP, General Counsel, and ESG Committee member for life sciences companies like Repligen and Baxter, grant him in-depth industry acumen and insights into what is needed to take a medicine or medical device from R&D and clinical trials to FDA approval and into the market. Add in his JD, MBA in Corporate Finance and Certificate in Health Sector Management from Duke University, and you will find few people more capable or better qualified to lead and manage a life sciences investment firm than Squire.Prior to founding Syridex Bio, Squire served as General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer for Repligen Corporation (NASDAQ: RGEN). He was the chief legal advisor to the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and other senior executives at Repligen, overseeing a team of attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Squire oversaw all legal functions, including intellectual property, commercial transactions, business development, licensing, litigation, and corporate functions with responsibility for ethics & compliance and enterprise risk management. He also led the development and implementation of Repligen’s enterprise risk management program to ensure effective risk mitigation across an increasingly complex organization. Before joining Repligen, Squire served as Associate General Counsel at Baxter International, Inc. where he was Chief Legal Advisor and a senior leadership team member for the approximately $2.2B global pharmaceuticals business division. He assisted the Corporate Secretary in the preparation of various Exchange Act filings and executive, board, and investor communications, in advising the company regarding various corporate governance matters, and in handling various company share transactions, including the issuance of dividends and corporate debt restructuring.
