Dr. Shams Rashid received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Stony Brook University. He trained as a postdoc at UCLA, where he specialized in advanced Cardiac MRI. Shams developed the Wideband LGE MRI technique for scar imaging of patients with implantable cardiac devices. This technique is currently used in clinical practice in many centers around the world (UCLA, NYU, UPenn...)Shams is currently an Associate Scientist at the DeMatteis Center for Research & Education at St. Francis Hospital in Long Island, New York.
