The 6-month rigorous Rural Agricultural Work Experience was a humbling experience that prepared me for the outside world, enabled me to empathize more with the rural community, and to understand why my line of work matters. Some of the values I learned are- Patience, resilience, minimalistic living, working with nature, leaving no men behind, and systems thinking.• I lived and worked alongside a farmer on paddy, wheat, and vegetable farmlands.• Conducted need assessment PRA exercises, baseline surveys, and designed relevant interventions and programs.• Directed 20+ field demonstrations on various rural technologies with my team.• Organized an agri-fair in Kodia village with 12 sponsor companies.• Affected 50% increase in profit by reducing disease incidence in Paddy through implementing indigenous rural innovations and best practices.
