My responsibilities in this role have included but are not limited to: - Programming solutions for more efficient production- Communicating with several departments on projects i.e. Maintenance, IT, Torque, Materials, etc...- Creating Screens through HMI Integration to aid the Controls and Production Team in problem solving - Identifying process errors and implementing solutions to fix them- Locating the cause of an issue and making quick decisions to alleviate the problem- Creating and implementing solutions to aid the production team- Troubleshooting cameras, scanners, optical sensors, proximity sensors, torque guns, etc...- Vision System quality assurance through the use of Cognex and Keyence cameras- Fanuc Robot programming and fault recovery- Universal Robot programming and fault recovery- Utilizing Siemens TIA Portal for various types of programs; Ladder Logic, SCL, and STL- Utilizing Allen Bradley RS Logix Studio 5000 Ladder Logic

During this internship I collaborated with a team of engineers from other disciplines where we were tasked to create a design for a medical minimally invasive surgical tool for spinal infusion. As part of the manufacturing and design team of the project I helped with the design and manufacturing of the tool given the specifications and constraints of a 10 mm incision using Fusion 360.

During the course of my internship I learned how to work with electrical wiring of protoboards, understanding how to efficiently use an oscilloscope, and program equipment using PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers).
