I am Sravan Josyula, Ph.D. in Materials, Design, and Manufacturing from BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. Currently, I am working as an Application Scientist in a tribology instrument manufacturing company from 2018. During this period, I have had hands-on experience with various tribometers (POD, LRT, Erosion, Abrasion, FBT, Reichert, KRL, Twin Disc, etc) to estimate the tribological behaviour of materials and lubricants using standard (ASTM/ISO/DIN) and non-standard test methods. As a part of an application team, I am responsible for developing the test methods for friction and wear characterization of materials and lubricants. Working closely with the application team, I have optimised the tests and adapted a test method to establish the repeatability and reproducibility of materials at elevated temperatures (1000 deg C). Additionally, I even test the extreme pressure properties of greases under different speed ramp up.
