I was selected as one of 50 contestants from all over Canada to participate in the prestigious Miss World Canada pageant. Miss World Canada places great priority on bringing positive change to the world and provides the delegates various opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of the most vulnerable in our society.As a delegate, my platform was greatly focused on empowering women through education. I strongly believe that education is the most efficient resource that provides women with the skills needed to make informed decisions about their future and bring positive change to their communities. As Miss Northern Alberta, I actively advocated about the importance of education and the endless opportunities it provides for a safe and successful future. Moreover, I am working to remind my peers how fortunate we are to have access to education and encourage them to use it to ensure this valuable resource is available to children around the world.
