I represent biotechnology, medical device and other life science and technology companies in a wide range of intellectual property and technology-based transactions, including licensing, corporate partnering and technology development. I also provide strategic intellectual property advice.Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, I was the Assistant Director of the Office of Technology Transfer at Caltech. I managed Caltech's Life Science patent portfolio and negotiated and drafted license agreements, research agreements and material transfer agreements. I also advised Caltech entrepreneurs on starting new ventures including GeneOhm Sciences (acquired by BD), Proteolix (acquired by Onyx) and Allozyne.I am a registered patent attorney, and have prosecuted biotech patent applications and provided technical consultation on patent litigation for a California law firm.
