CMC Team Technical Leader. Guided a team in development of tipranavir for treatment of drug-resistant forms of HIV. Transferred CMC information to licensee Boehringer-Ingelheim. Tipranavir (Aptivus) was approved by the FDA in June 2005.Solid oral dosage formulation development. Developed tipranavir's first formulation; a high-strength gelatin capsule. Successfully scaled up tipranavir in a novel soft gelatin capsule formulation at a contract manufacturer.
