Centre for Advanced Materials and Structures(CAMS) @ NUSResearch Theme – Smart and Resilient Materials and StructuresResearch Title: Analysis, Non-Destructive Testing & Monitoring of Aged Prestressed Concrete Beam System for Retrofitting • Monitoring the health of an existing aged beam prestressed concrete girder. Examining the critical zones (e.g., webs and flanges) to investigate the structural stability & strength.• Analyzing the precast prestressed girder using non-linear finite element analysis and sensitivity parametric study to determine the prestress losses and creep influencing the long-term deflection of the girder. • Expected Outcome: Investigate the health of the aged beam and suggest suitable concrete repair and retrofitting for the same.
