Climate change and biodiversity loss are two of the most alarming aspects of the Anthropocene. It is important to understand how to mitigate climate change and remove carbon dioxide, while at the same time making sure other life on earth is not harmed because of human actions. I focus on land biodiversity, and land-based climate mitigation and CDR.I use a powerful modelling framework that combines high-resolution land-use analysis with comprehensive global energy system assessment. This allows us to quantitatively analýze the effects of human decisions and policy on land-use, energy supply and demand mixes, GHG emissions trajectories, as well as land-based biodiversity.
