During this period, Philanthropy Network offered year-long “practice change” cohorts, specifically the Equity in Philanthropy Cohort and the Mission-aligned Investors Collaborative, to create spaces for funders to learn and evolve their work with the support and guidance of equity experts. The deep-dive learning opportunities were complemented by programming designed to meet beginning and intermediate level understanding of systemic inequity and offer a roadmap to individual and organizational commitment and solidarity to dismantle centuries of racism and oppression.Philanthropy Network also served as an intermediary for foundation collaboration, information sharing, and pooled funds investment to demonstrate what’s possible through trust-based, equity-centered, and participatory grantmaking. These efforts led to the creation of three unique Census Action Funds and a trust-based COVID-10 Fund designed and led by greater Philadelphia community leaders. Show less -
