A dedicated professional in English Language teaching, Srianthie Salgado is a scholar in education and a visiting lecturer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and English Language Teaching, as well as an Honours degree in Social Sciences and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (TESL) from the University of Colombo. She has gained an MA in Linguistics from the University of Kelaniya and an M.Ed from the Open University of Sri Lanka. She has also completed her M.Phil in the University of Colombo.Presently she serves the Open University of Sri Lanka in the capacity of an Academic Coordinator in the Department of English as well as a Consultant in the University of Moratuwa. She is also the Course Director for Cambridge Teachers & Trainers at the Ladies College Institute of Professional Studies as well as a visiting lecturer at Lanka Academy of Technological studies - A certified Academy approved by the Director-General of Merchant Shipping.During her dedicated Toast Mastering career at Lyceum Toastmasters Club, she served as the Vice President of Public Relations (2007/2008), the Vice President Membership 2008/2009, the Vice President Education 2009/2010, and the President (2010/2011) of Lyceum Toastmasters Club. She served as an Area Governor for Division H and was the first Division Governor for Division C. She then served as the Club Extension chair, the Mentors Pool Chair, and Re-alignment chair for District 82. She was the Administration Manager for District 82 – India & Sri Lanka in 2016/17. She was the Gavel Cub coordinator for Sri Lanka in 2017/18 and is a Pathways guide / Ambassador. She was the club Growth Director for District 82A in 2019/2020 and the Program Quality Director for 2020/2021. Currently, she is the District Director for District 82 which includes approximately 4000 members in 178 clubs, which in turn is in 44 areas and 09 Divisions.
