As part of my academics, I have a strong foundation in Political Science and Indian History, a more advanced knowledge in Sociology, Psychology, and Economics, and rigorous training in research principles and methodology. My graduate thesis focused on examining and understanding the propensity to consume and save in employed urban Indian millennials. I also have received training in Life Sciences, Anthropology, Gender Studies, and Game Theory. I graduated with a 7.5 GPA. I have also completed a certificate course on Neuroeconomics conducted by Copenhagen Business School with a 96% grade, through Coursera. As required of my course, I am also adept at Microsoft Office suite, SPSS, and Stata. Apart from this, I am also acquainted with GIMP, Adobe Creative Suite, and Corel, and trained in basic HTML, C++, CSSand SQL coding.I have also interned with several organizations that focus on educational reform, both on and off the field, and with The Hindu, a leading Indian newspaper, in their online department, and handled their Twitter feed during the Karnataka state elections. I also have experience working on research projects: I was a research assistant in a PLAN India and Mahitha sponsored research project on Conditional Cash Transfers Schemes and Child Marriages in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. I conducted and presented a research paper under NIAS, Bangalore on the impacts of conflict on women in children, with reference to the Sri Lankan Civil War. I currently work with Streedhan, an NGO based in Delhi working towards women empowerment. I am a content editor and creator with their webinar/talk show, Small Talk with Tanya Malik.
