With over 20 years of experience in health care, Sheila has established significant expertise in medical practice redesign. Throughout her career, Sheila has managed clinical staff, provided oversight for business, financial and clinical aspects of a medical office and provided key insights in various consulting projects. As a facilitator, Sheila has worked with primary care practices throughout the country to assist with the transformation to patient centered medical homes. This work was a culmination of all her experiences and expertise in medical practice management and clinical operations. Successes include improvement in quality and clinical outcome analysis, physician, staff, and patient satisfaction along with improved efficiencies in financial and operational areas. Sheila is a registered nurse and a fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives with a Masters degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Kansas. Sheila speaks on the national stage and has published numerous books - Leading Your Clinical Team: A Comprehensive Guide to Optimizing Productivity and Quality published by MGMA in July 2009 and The New Healthcare Supervisor’s Guide: The Secrets to Success published by MGMA in March 2010. She has also authored Fast Facts: Medical Office Nursing published with Springer Publishing, June 2010.
