Customer: KPN-NETCO, European Telecom providerRole description:Shift Lead for the Storage & Backup team and a Storage/SAN Administrator for a storage environment of 4PB, constituting a variety of storage arrays like EMC DMX, VMAX & IBM SVC. Handling the IT Change and Incident management of Storage Administration for KPN NETCO. Handled the Knowledge Transfer from KPN NETCO and completed the KT process successfully.EMC(DMX & VMAX)/IBM SVC:• Creating devices of different sizes & types (thick, thin & data devices) in DMX, VMAX & IBM SVC.• Bind thin devices to Thin pools & implement FAST policies for the storage groups as per the requirement.• Map & mask the devices to the host as per requirement.• Monitoring & Working on both Thick & Thin pool provisioning in EMC DMX/VMAX using SYMCLI.• Working on FAST enabled tiers in EMC VMAX arrays using SYMCLI.• Monitor the Load between IOGroups and Monitor capacity for SVC cluster.• Provision storage in SVC, Creation of Mdisk and assign to Storage pool.• Monitor alerts and events using IBM SVC graphical console.• Monitor Flash copy status.Replication:• Monitor & configure the EMC SRDF ACP-Disk & Synchronous mode.• Implement SRDF by creating the R1/R2 device pairing, Device groups, RDF groups.• Monitor the RDF directors & RDF group consistency.• Monitor & configure the EMC Timefinder VP-SNAP operations.SAN:• Managing Brocade DCX Scalable fabric directors with CMCNE tool. • Administration of Zoning and zone configuration management in Fabrics.• Create the soft zoning for local & LSAN zones using CMCNE tool.• Working with Virtual Fabrics enabled Brocade DCX switches.• Monitor LSAN zone for the FC-FC routing over multiple fabrics without merging them.• Working with Gateway switches with NPIV enabled ports for Blade enclosure servers.• Coordinating with Vendor and Datacenter floor management team to check and replace the physical hardware parts.
