Experience in multiple microbial expression systems to develop and manufacture vaccines and therapeutic recombinant proteins using E. coli, Pichia pastoris, Pseudomonas putida etc. Led team that produced 8 biologics for Phase I clinical trials. Headed process development and manufacturing teams with responsibility for upstream (scale up to 1000-L fermentation), harvest/clarification using tubular, disc stack centrifugations, chromatography (IEX, SEC, Affinity etc) and filtration. Produced biologics in kilogram levels. Possess knowledge and experience employing single-use technology in both upstream and downstream unit operations. • Core competencies: Process Development, Scale-up and Technology Transfer, Phase I cGMP Manufacturing. Team & Leadership Development. Also experienced in design, construction, staffing and operation of bio-manufacturing facilities.
