If error in one chain activity results in starting from the first.• Inbound Logistics: The process of flow of goods into the company from the vendors or dealers(who already manufactured) for the purpose of the company to use such as Raw materials etc is termed as Inbound Logistics• Outbound Logistics: The process of flow of manufactured goods from company to the end user is termed as Outbound Logistics• Post Goods Issue: After the load is dispatched in the truck, final verification has to be made to generate invoice. The bag weight must be 50kg each. So, capacity will be checked for bag cement. Tolerance must be 0.5%. Capacity= Empty weight (-) Gross weight. Gross weight is load dispatched in truck. So by that empty weight is found. It must be 25 tonnes. For bulk, there is no tolerance followed since its loose cement. After verification, Invoice will be generated. This process is called Post Goods Issue(PGI). Finally after keeping the load in destination, RECEIVED seal is made in invoice and is intimated to office by SAP. Separate copy of Invoice and Load slip is kept by office for Audit• Order Execution Time: Outbound-> Shipment-> Invoice-> Customer (Time taken)• Truck Turnover Time: Shipment-> Invoice-> Customer (Time taken)• Reverse Logistics: For eg: The load is taken from Dalmiapuram and is dispatched in Tuticorin. Now the truck has to go empty. So instead of doing that they are loading another set of goods from Tuticorin and dispatched in Dalmiapuram.
