GCFIT (Global Corporate Functions IT) is one of the service oriented project in Wipro for Chevron. The scope of the project is to resolve the incidents, to do enhancements, new module developments and bug fixes. We also perform annual and IRM (Information Risk Management) activities like changing the DB passwords and user access reviews to ensure all the application users up to date in regards with risk. In addition, we have done the fixes for Vulnerabilities in the applications using HP fortify tool to get all the vulnerabilities and fix accordingly to protect the sensitive data from external attackers.Roles & Responsibilities:• Responsible to gather the requirements from Business Analyst and converting to technical specifications.• Responsible for enhancements to existing modules and preparation of estimates.• Responsible to perform the Bug fixes in case of any bugs reported by the users. • Responsible to co-ordinate with the other teams of Chevron in case of dependencies.• Responsible to have a regular status calls with Business Analyst on enhancements and Bug fixes.• Responsible to do regression testing after completing any of the enhancements or Bug fixes.• Responsible to do the application deployments in testing or UAT environment.• Responsible to analyse and propose any improvements of the modules of application to Business Analyst.• Responsible to monitor the schedule jobs running in the background.
