Responsibilities:• Key advisor to the Vice President of Medical Group on operations excellence, providing decision support, executive communications, and strategic initiative management. • Advice and develop governance processes and structures for organizational effectiveness. • Data driven Key Performance Indicator (KPI) oversight for optimal results, including executive taskforce management and front-line asks alignment. • Build guiding coalitions and dynamic teams with all VP/C-level stakeholders for complex strategic initiatives.• Lead a core team of operations and clinical specialists and dynamic teams of operations directors.Achievements:• Organizational effectiveness: Developed an action plan to deliver on ‘Access’ and ‘Growth’ strategies, which includes building new operational capabilities (streamlined onboarding process, new provider float pool, MarCom governance processes for AI driven provider portfolio generation, scheduling efficiencies, and much more). • Initiative Management: Managed Impact Intermountain Physician Enterprise initiative to achieve 107% of goal in 2023, ahead of schedule.

Work with the Graduate Medical Education (GME) and the Office of Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Education leadership to (1) strategically assess and align GME value outcomes with the institutional workforce needs, vision, and mission and (2) lead the strategic transformation of the system towards academic-clinical integration.• Develop and deploy strategy, deliver mission aligned outcomes, and serve as a strategic advisor to:o Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs o Chief Graduate Medical Education Officer • Expand GME training in Utah, with an emphasis on rural and underserved workforce access. Co-create and execute complex strategic initiatives across the institution.• Program development in partnership with external community partners for resident rural and underserved training. • Lead vision, strategy and execution of Health Professions workforce planning. Facilitate alignment between K-12 education system for health workforce development, higher education and U Health Hospitals and Clinics. Achievements:• Transformed a regulatory requirement into a popular consulting service for GME Program Directors and Department Chairs. • Doubled the Resident Engagement and Training for Underserved and Rural Needs (RETURN) program funding in its first year. • Won special funding as part of the American Dream $1M dollar challenge to facilitate workforce pipelines connecting underserved families in Utah and Utah employers.

Work with the leadership team to facilitate institutional (academic and clinical) strategy development and facilitate operational effectiveness for electronic health record transition.

Responsibilities:• Serve as the Dean's strategic advisor and liaison with the university and community constituencies. • Lead cross-functional strategic planning initiatives and their implementation for education and clinical services/business development.• Develop stakeholder buy-in for the various strategic initiatives. • Develop and direct an Institutional Effectiveness Assessment System.• Manage legislative affairs and policy communications.• Lead all grant writing and other resource development efforts towards the service mission.• Facilitate and co-lead strategy retreats and other senior leadership level meetings.• Co-lead accreditation efforts for the general practice residency program and the school.Achievements:• Built trust and continued to serve as consultant after transitioning jobs. • Procured $3.2 Million in grants for outreach strategy. • Delivered results through three leadership changes in two years.

• Partner with the Executive Director in Board communications, organizational development, and strategic planning.• Lead healthcare workforce market research for Utah. • Develop and manage rural workforce development through clinical rotation and GME sponsorship. • Responsible for hiring, development and management of an elite staff of research consultants. • Represent the UMEC on various boards, committees and coalitions.• Organize bi-annual job fairs, procure sponsorship from major hospital systems and health professions associations in Utah for improved health workforce retention in Utah.• Work with K-12 and higher education partners for workforce development pathway programs.

• Received commendation for change management through a contractually, economically, and politically tough phase. • Worked closely with a Governor appointed board (Council) and successfully coordinated a strategic planning retreat. • Defended the organization budget ($1M) with the Lt. Governor Bell and his cabinet.• Identified an opportunity for a Nursing Workforce Center in Utah. Launched the infrastructure in partnership with the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing and the Utah Action Coalition for Health within 45 days as first step. Led the organization towards political and financial stability leveraging nursing stakeholder support. UMEC is now Utah's designated Nursing Workforce Information Center.

• Designed and implemented the first dental workforce market study for Utah, worked with key leaders in Utah's dental profession with varying views and developed a consensus for recommendations, including legislative approval and funding to launch a new dental school in Utah.• Worked closely with K-12 education representatives, higher education representatives, and employers to address physician workforce, pharmacy workforce and nursing workforce shortages among many other health workforce research and development projects. • Influenced data driven Medicaid policy changes and licensure law changes.
