About Srina Lacet

Srina Lacet is many things— a Haitian-American woman, a lifelong nomad, and an advocate for marginalized people who unapologetically forge their rightful place in public narratives.During her years in high school, Srina Lacet developed a keen awareness that meaningful knowledge is more than high grades and test scores. While she proved to be an exceptional student, she realized that to best develop her potential, she must also be bold, take risks, and find experiential opportunities to tackle the world’s most interesting challenges. After much introspection, Srina chose to pursue a gap year after graduation to explore her passion for politics and public policy through real-world immersion. For an international perspective on women’s civic leadership, she accepted the Political and Civic Engagement Internship at Vital Voices Global Partnership in Washington DC. Srina also explored her interests in educational policy as the youngest member of the inaugural Board of Education Racial Equity Committee with Frederick County Public Schools. Srina is currently a senior Gabelli Presidential Scholar at Boston College, majoring in Political Science and African/African Diaspora Studies with a minor in Film Studies. She is deeply involved in her campus community and is empowered by her role in promoting inclusive and celebratory spaces for students through her extracurricular activities. Boston College has provided her with tools of both utility and culture to apply to her intelligence and character through academic and social engagement. She finds purpose in her work and activism through storytelling and advocating for the visibility of the underrepresented. Her academic passions for politics and social justice align with her prolonged interest in film as a form of expression and marketing. Srina continues to pursue job opportunities that fit within her vast interests.

Listed skills include Leadership, Collaborative Work, Public Affairs, Independent Thinking, and 8 others.
