During my internship at Raptee Energy, I had the opportunity to work with the BMS team, contributing to the development and enhancement of BMS hardware. My responsibilities included:Testing, Validation, and Troubleshooting: Performed rigorous testing and validation of BMS boards, focusing on edge cases to identify potential hardware improvements. Debugged and resolved hardware issues to optimize performance.Product Development Support: Assisted in making key hardware changes based on test results to improve product reliability and efficiency.Inventory Management: Developed a sub-inventory system for tracking BMS boards across various use cases.Additionally, I undertook the following tasks:Resolved a Real-Time Clock (RTC) software issue, ensuring accurate timekeeping in the system.Addressed state-of-charge estimation issue by collaborating with Texas Instruments to characterize battery cells and fix data parameters.Designed and validated a high-speed short circuit protection circuit to enhance safety.Developed a precharge circuit to improve the power management process.Efficiently used Python scripts to analyse and visualise data collected during Hardware testing.This role allowed me to gain hands-on experience in hardware engineering, problem-solving, and working in a highly dynamic startup environment focused on electric vehicle technology.

Key Responsibilities: • Conducted fitment studies to ensure seamless integration of components including Alternators, Starters and Batteries. • Maintained detailed component specification matrices for all components of the subsystem. • Conducted vehicle level studies including Electrical Load Analysis, Dark Current Study. • Maintained and analysed data from various benchmarking activities.Additional works did:• Identified an issue of 12 V battery drain particularly in Electric Vehicle segment.• Conducted preliminary analysis to identify the cause.• Provided my technical opinion for a comprehensive dark current study.

• Managed a highly-efficient team of 4 engineers and Resolved any bottlenecks arose during design, manufacturing and assembly.• Performed Powertrain dimensioning using quasi-static approach for MotoStudent - E bike.• Developed a glider-model of the vehicle in Simulink using power-loss approach for concept validation.• Accumulator and Electrical Architecture Design.• Assembled and Fabricated a power-dense NMC based battery pack by Spot Welding.• Supported in design of instrument cluster UI and integrated sensor data readings to display.• Inventory Management, maintained BOMs and assembly drawings.• Prepared and maintained FMEA, DVPRs for the electrical subsystem.

• Performed Powertrain Dimensioning for Formula Student - E car using quasi-static approach.• Accumulator and Electrical Architecture Design.• Inventory Management for all electrical and electromechanical parts.• Prepared FMEA, ESFs for the Electrical Subsystem.• Designed and Fabricated PCBs for Pre-charge circuit, Voltage sensing circuit and circuits to indicate that tractive system is active.
