Stepping into the world of supply chain:Though my journey with IBM started on a different domain but my works with the manufacturing facility of Honda in Marysville Ohio and IBM Application Lab where I worked on developing the state of the art Warehouse Management Systems with Conveyor system Automation, marked my entry into the world of supply chain.After 2 years with IBM, I founded my own consulting company (Vigna Inc) to develop supply chain strategic roadmaps to support the business vision of Global Fortune 100 Companies in manufacturing and distribution like Sharp, Panasonic, William Sonoma, Kinney Drugs and Music Theatre International.A dream, a team and THE brand:Having worked closely with the global industrial clients and understanding their day-to-day challenges towards achieving a more optimized and cost-effective supply chain execution, I realized my vision for a more holistic approach to the problem at hand.I formed a team of similar technology enthusiasts and industry experts to develop an innovative end-to-end SCE product suite that enhances business performance beyond the status quo, expands global reach with real-time visibility over supply chain and impacts the bottom line.And in 2008, we went live with our brand “Highway 905”.But that was just the beginning.Over the past years, we have continued our journey in optimizing our solution to help our clients achieve overall cost reductions amounting to millions per client/per year and drive enhanced efficiency across the whole spectrum of supply chain execution.
