Performed cost breakdown analysis for all the new, project parts that requires aftermarket packaging and make a 3PL vs supplier packaging decision.

Created layout for the inventory, assigned the parts on the racks based on volume consumption and part price. Coordinated with manufacturing team and vendors to set up storage racks according to the manufacturing projection. Established the packaging process for the finished goods, and created packaging instructions.

Performed packaging analysis for all the inbound parts and negotiated with suppliers to ensure the parts are shipped in Volvo Packaging Solutions. Collaborated cross-functionally with Purchasing, SRM (Supplier Relationship Management), Logistics, and Suppliers to ensure packaging is aligned with ergonomics principles and material flow at an optimized cost. Performed Total Cost analysis starting from supplier to point of use (transportation, holding, internal movement, part price) and identified feasible packaging solution which derives the lowest overall cost. Created standard packaging instructions upon approvals in the Volvo Packaging system and updated the necessary Economic Order Quantity, Part information, and related Packaging in PFEP. Monitored packaging deviations upon approvals and followed up with suppliers to bring them compliant in packaging.
