About Srishti Prabha

I am a Report For America Corps Member working as K-12 education reporter for CapRadio, an NPR-affiliate station in Sacramento. Before Report For America, I was the managing editor of India Currents, a nonprofit magazine for the Bay Area community, covering the intersection of immigration, cultural identity, health, and more in the South Asian community. I came to journalism as a Public Allies Fellow working at East Palo Alto Today when addressing the effects of gentrification in East Palo Alto, California. Since then, I have won awards from the San Francisco Press Club and the California News Publishers Association.Before my career in activism and journalism, I worked in the biological sciences addressing evolution, neuroscience, drug delivery, and more.
