Srishti is an environmental social scientist, with diverse experience in the development sector and the environmental social sciences—ranging from leadership, to research, to field-based positions, to strategic and managerial roles. Her consistent endeavour is to bolster the iterative relationship between academic theory and development practice, particularly in the realm of environmental governance and conservation.She has a double Master's from the University of Oxford and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, in Environmental Governance and Development Studies, respectively. Srishti is an experienced leader and is presently Senior Program Manager with the World Resources Institute (WRI). As part of the Global Restoration Initiative, she supports WRI's ongoing work on Nature-based Solutions, specifically, on landscape restoration. Srishti was also a Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Ambassador, and Chair of the global Staff Assembly at WRI. Over her professional career, Srishti has developed expertise in conducting research, devising projects and interventions towards the interconnected realms of sustainable development, environmental conservation, and climate change adaptation and mitigation (from both a biophysical and sociological perspective), while also managing teams, leading outreach programs, and preparing relevant communication material. She is adept at programme development, management, monitoring, and evaluation, and has demonstrable experience across the policy cycle.She showcases strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and maintains a strong commitment to her personal convictions and professional ethos.
