CTO for Microsoft Dynamics 365 across the landscape of Marketing, Sales, Service, Finance, Retail, Operations and Talent

Engineering GM for Dynamics 365 for Operations (AX) focused on building Cloud based intelligent business processes covering ERP, SCM, HCM and Retail areas

Responsible for all up Platform efforts for the division ( Product Management, Program Management, Engineering, UX, Performance, Internationalization, Life Cycle Services) for Dynamics Business Solutions Cloud. As leader of the Platform team, also responsible for driving innovation and capabilities within the greater Microsoft eco-system – Mobility, Office 365, Azure, SQL Server, Big Data capabilities etc.

Responsible for Engineering (Development and test) for Dynamics Cloud Platform for ERP, for our products and services leveraging both the Microsoft technology eco-system as well as Open Source Technologies.

Responsible for building an entirely new business line for Dynamics from scratch, to incentive and manage our existing customer base and to change the landscape on implementations as we see them today – a combination of cloud based services (with potential for $400M annually), implementation accelerators, ISV enablers and co-development programs. This team started at about 4 and has now expanded to approximately 60 with plans to expand to 200 in the next few years.

Responsible for portions of the technology architecture, application architecture across the landscape of the ERP Suite – instrumental in re-architecture of major sub-systems as well as new solutions around data management (patent pending), batch processing, efficient sub ledgers etc. In my individual contributor capacity, worked as part of the product leadership group. Drove the scale up architecture for the application servers and several scale benchmarks including our effort to hit scalability on the largest SQL Server boxes (in collaboration with the SQL Server Product team). Owned and managed several customer/partner councils for driving efficiency tenets – mainly around product simplification.

1. Responsible for Scale & Performance for the full ERP Suite (Applications and Technology Stack). Led the re-engineering of a legacy ERP system to 10X the scale levels we started with.2. Defined and drove the product team to a multi-release scale roadmap that has focused on database scalability, application server scale out and scale up, effective and efficient parallel processing for workloads, high speed integrations, metadata driven optimization of applications, best practice engines etc.3. In the performance function, led a team of 10 performance engineers, with a large virtual team supporting the effort (from among the 800 strong development team).Worked on the design of several key performance focused elements of the product.

1. Initiated and institutionalized design and architecture as a function in the performance team – including heavy prototyping for performance as a first in the team (ran the performance architecture team)2. Effectively managed and executed on the largest scale custom benchmarks at Peoplesoft (JC Penney, GE to name a few).3. Worked as one of the performance engineers focused on HR, CRM and EIM. Worked in the CRM Development extended leadership to drive deep quality and scale changes in CRM 8.84. Worked on one of the Total Ownership pillars (performance) as its owner and drove it across the product lines and tools 5. Worked out some of the biggest escalations at Peoplesoft.

Responsible for a Performance Engineering Team focused on implementation and end state performance for large customer deployments – GAP, VISA, eSurance, CalPERS were among the clientele. Conceived the team and built the practice for the company. Prior to this role, worked as the data modeler for CalPERS Health System (a multi-year development project), which eventually became a product at CSC for the Public Sector. In this project played the role of solution architect, data modeler, designer and performance architect.
